Explosion-proof natural gas compressor plant with
standard
gas motor drive
By using a gastight bulkhead
shaft passage it is possible to separate the explosion-proof compressor room from the non-hazardous gas motor room.
This allows using a low-cost standard gas
motor Ethylen-Kompressor of non-hazardous design to
drive the compressor!
The driving equipment basically consists of:
the gas motor – the gastight shaft passage – a hydraulic coupling – a reduction gear and the compressor.
When consequently Ethylen-Kompressor observing economy of space, it is possible to group all auxiliary units such as gas cooler, closed cooling water system, Ethylen-Kompressor safety devices as well as all process measuring and control field devices within a soundproofed steel container.
The compact plant with central connections is designed for an outside installation and reduces Ethylen-Kompressor mounting efforts on site to a minimum thus allowing operation at different places of application.

Bulkhead shafts
For power transmission through gastight bulkheads , fire walls, decks, etc. Designed to connect shafts of driver and compressors or pumps, to adjust misalignment, caused by deformation of foundation and/or vibrations.
Shaft power ranging from 15 kW up to 4000 kW, Shaft speed between 100 rpm and 4000 rpm. Gastight bulkhead shaft penetration are available in five standard sizes.
Bulkhead shaft penetrations of meet classification-requirements (GL, DNV, Lloyds Register, etc.) and are suited for operation on ships and platforms as well as for onshore installations.
