Compressor packages for town gas storage applications
KOHO
- compressors are operated for Naturalgas-Storage applications
since 1983 for volume flow up to 12 000 mN3/h. These compressor packages are designed especially to optimize the city gas supply.
Such a
plant usually inlcudes the storage tubes (nominal diameter of ship-building 1000 - 1600 mm, length up to 2500 m providing a geometrical volume of approx. 4000 m3 and an effective storage volume after compression up to 400.000 m3N), the compressor ship-building package and the volume flow regulator system.
In order to have a sufficient natural gas volume for maximum requirements, the gas ship-building is stored during low gas consumption, to supply the industries and provate houses during peak periods. An optimum and economic operation is therefore guaranteed.

* Double distance piece API 618 Typ C, outboard distance piece
in stainless steel, pressure tight
* Electrical oil heating (Ex) with level control
* Direct driven over flexibal couplings
* Motor 250 kW EExde IICT4, 600min-1
* Volumeflow regulation by 2 diaphragm actuated control valves
and gas tight suction valva unloaders
* Part of volumeflow is taken after the 1st stage and fed to the plant
directly, interstage pressure is kept constant
* Piping ANSI, pressure vessels ASME, approval by TÜV Austria
and TÜV Germany
